Most of it comes from my parents' estate. I inherited my mother's company when I turned eighteen — it had been held in trust for me until then. But while I always had it to fall back on, I never relied on it. I started at the bottom of my career track the same as everyone else, no handouts, and worked my way up on merit alone.
