We used to do bigger things when I was younger. Mom and Dad did a fair share of social events for their clients and associates, so those would often get rolled up in holidays, Thanksgiving or Christmas. We'd have the family dinner, too, though, so it was a little like getting to celebrate it more than once.
After they passed it was just me and my guardian, so Thanksgiving ended up being just us, too. And I suppose at some point it'll fall to me to start up the social events again, in my mother's footsteps, but I haven't yet.
It's nothing Retrospec didn't already have me reliving last month. ...That sounded more bitter than I intended it to. Really, it's all right. I don't go around broadcasting it, but it's not a secret, either.
I like planning social events, at least. I'm not quite as good at attending them, though.
